Surgery

Just stopping in quick to ask for prayer for our lil man! We go to Macon tomorrow for his hand surgery. Pre-op is at 1:30 then we'll spend the night there for surgery bright and early Wednesday morning. The procedure will separate the webbing between his three middle fingers on his left hand. They will also remove part of a toe on his left foot.

Just being honest, this one has me nervous. We're going to be away from home, in an unfamiliar environment with people we don't know and who don't know us! Our family has (unfortunately) had several surgeries at our hospital here, and with a Dr. who is a personal friend of ours. He did the surgery a few weeks ago, and I was so comforted that it was him doing it....but this time, this Dr. doesn't have a clue who we are. To him, it's just a kid...where to Dr. Murray, well, it was just different.

I'm rambling.

So please pray. For peace, for success and selfishly, for this mama :) Last time we had a waiting room full of people that made the anxiety level go down ten-fold! For those of you who know them, it's hard to NOT laugh with Chad, Ross, David, John and Jay around!! I'll update on facebook as things happen. Thank the Lord for social media on days like this!

Thanks, friends.

  3. You know Asher is at the top of my prayer list, but I'll make sure to put his sweet mama right up at the top with him. I'm on the edge of my seat to see who God touches thru this experience. We all know Asher is anything but..just another kid.

  6. Praying for you tonight. Hope you're not feeling too anxious.... You know the Scripture, Be anxious about nothing...And the peace of God will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus."
